Spring Intensive: Seminar and Workshop
with Benjamin Pincus and Joshua Layton
April 7th and 8th, 2018

This intensive is for students who want to deepen their learning and expand their experience of Aikido through immersion in 2 days of nourishing, challenging practice. We'll focus our training with specialized exercises and cover subjects including randori, tantodori, shimewaza, and hajikigoshiwaza.


Schedule

Saturday:
10 am - 12:15 pm training
12:15 - 2:15 pm lunch roundtable
2:15 - 4:30 pm training

Sunday:
9 am - 11 am training
11am - 12:15 pm lunch roundtable
12:15 - 2:15 pm training

Class size will be limited to 24 and priority will be given to students attending the full weekend. The seminar is for 4th kyu and up or with instructors permission.


Meals

Lunch will be ordered in the morning and delivered to the dojo each day- please have some cash for your part or bring a bag lunch. There will be coffee and water available. Group dinner on Saturday evening, details TBC. 


Fee & Registration

For the full 2 days - $125.
For one day only, if space is permitting - $95. Please email us to complete your registration.

Friday training

Our dojo will be open as usual on Friday for classes 11:45 am - 12:45 pm and 6:30 - 8 pm. Visitors registered for the seminar are welcome to join us in training at no additional fee.

FAQ

I'm not a member of the USAF. Can I attend the seminar? Yes. The only requirement is that you must be a member of an Aikido dojo. The seminar is open to students of any Aikido affiliation.

I'm not able to practice right now. Can I come and watch? Yes. If you are unable to practice but wish to observe, we request that you make a donation towards the seminar. Thanks for your interest and support!

I will be arriving a couple days early. Would it be OK to join you for practice before the seminar? Yes. Please inform us in advance and include your name, your grade, the name of your instructor, and the classes that you wish to attend.

Where to rent your Airbnb? Dojo/South-shoreYou can write to us if you need a second opinion.

What about parking? You will find abundant free street parking around the dojo.
