December 2nd 2017 - Aikido Seminar with Jun-ya Nakatsugawa Shidoin - 5th dan (New York Aikikai)

We invite you to join us for our holiday seminar with
Jun-ya Nakatsugawa sensei from the New York Aikikai, December 2nd 2017.

About Jun-ya:

Jun-ya started practicing Aikido in 1976, at the age of nine, with Ariff Mehter Sensei and Yousuf Mehter Sensei in Syracuse, New York.

In 1984, Jun-ya accepted an offer from Yamada Sensei to be an Uchi Deshi at the New York Aikikai for the summer prior to college.

A graduate of Cornell University College of Architecture, Art, and Planning, Jun-ya is a practicing architect in New York City. At the NY Aikikai, he has had the unique opportunity to study with Yamada Sensei, Sugano Sensei, and many other shihans. He continues his practice and is currently a regular instructor there.

Yamada Sensei, Aikido and the NY Aikikai have had a great impact on Jun-ya’s life. In fact, he met his wife, Joan Ellis at the dojo.
