Aikido Seminar

Elson Olea Shihan

We invite you to join us for an Aikido seminar with Elson Olea Sensei of Chile. The seminar will take place at our dojo on Montreal's South Shore. All are welcome!


About our guest

Elson Olea, 54 years old, is an Aikido teacher holding the degree of 6th dan and the title of Shihan. He is a student of Yoshimitsu Yamada Shihan (8th dan). Beginning his training at the age of 7 and earning his 1st dan in 1988, he is one of the pioneers of Aikido in Chile. He began his direct relationship with Yamada Sensei in 1998. Throughout his long career, he has participated in many international seminars with great teachers and exponents of Aikido. He has conducted seminars and classes in Chile and across the Americas. Elson is the founder and technical director of Aikido Nampou Dojo Santiago (1998) and Nampou Dojo Coyhaique (2021). He also serves as the president and technical director of the Sansuikai Chile Federation.

FAQ

I'm not a member of the USAF. Can I attend the seminar? Yes. Our public events are open to students of any Aikido affiliation.

I'm not able to practice right now. Can I come and watch? Yes. If you are unable to practice but wish to observe, we request that you make a donation towards the seminar. Thanks for your interest and support!

I will be arriving a couple of days early. Would it be OK to join you for practice before the seminar? Yes. Please inform us in advance and include your name, your grade, the name of your instructor, and the classes that you wish to attend.
